This musical number perfectly encapsulates the frantic pace that Sonic keeps up all throughout his adventures. So what follows is a list of the songs that we hear in our heads when we're playing as the following characters - and, as always, be sure to comment below and let us know what theme songs you think match with this group… Much in the same way that Jack Spade had KRS belting out "Jack of Spades," we wanted to put appropriate theme music, culled from the archives of popular music, to our favorite videogame characters. But we wanted to come up with popular songs that fit these characters' personalities (or at least their perceived personalities). And some of them even have bona fide theme songs complete with lyrics. Sure, many of the characters who made our list already have theme music, usually sweeping orchestral movements truncated into a few catchy bars that float through the game in question with unending repetition. We started thinking about the omnipresent nature of the theme song and how it might apply to our favorite videogame characters. All of which brings us to the task at hand. Heck, these days folks give their friends signature ringtones on their cellphones, which is merely the next generation of theme music if you really think about it. Married couples have "their song," professional baseball players have their "at bat" theme songs, and so on. Theme music is important, not just for heroes and iconic figures. The pervasiveness of the theme song transcends the barriers of film, television, and even videogames.
